    ¡New Teambuilding in MIM!

Christmas is almost here, and with it, a new team building experience!

This November, the HR department organized a second team building activity: cooking a Christmas lunch menu.

Currently, we have more than 300 employees at MIM, and we aim to grow as a company and as a team. We are committed to teamwork, as this ensures that work is done well. We also value the human value that underpins MIM’s work outside of the workplace, creating new synergies among all of us.

For this team building, we decided to hold a cooking workshop specializing in Christmas food. The goal was for all participants to help each other prepare four dishes, including a sweet Christmas dessert. The positive thing we learned from this team building was the teamwork we put into preparing succulent dishes, and everyone pulling together to achieve a common goal.

Next year, we will continue holding team building events, as the ones held so far have been very successful among participants.

    MIM 2023 CHRISTMAS VIDEO PRESENTATION

As every year, MIM Group presented its new Christmas spot this December to bid farewell to 2023 and welcome in 2024. This year marked the 13th edition of the video, and at MIM, we have always enjoyed greeting our employees, clients, and partners through videos with different themes each year.

This year, we wanted to pay tribute to all those who have suffered or are going through the painful battle with cancer. In particular, we dedicated the video to all MIM employees. The main theme of the spot is a story of struggle and overcoming difficulties based on a real case of breast cancer.

    2023 WORLD AND SPANISH FIGURES

According to the Spanish Society of Medical Oncology (SEOM), cancer remains one of the leading causes of morbidity and mortality worldwide. In 2020, 18.1 million new cases of cancer were detected, and it is estimated that by 2040, 28 million cases will be detected annually.

The number of cancers diagnosed in Spain in 2023 is estimated to have reached 279,260 cases, and breast cancer remains the most commonly diagnosed form.

    MIM 2023 BENEFIT GALA

In conjunction with the video launch, a charity gala was held on Wednesday, December 20, to raise money for breast cancer research. Click the button to see the review of the 2023 MIM Gala.

  • Digital Twin

Digital Twins were invented to create a virtual replica of a warehouse, factory, product, or system, using real-time data from sensors and IoT devices. These data provide, among other things, mathematical data (Big Data). On the other hand, sensor data is used to simulate the asset’s operation. A relationship is created between the virtual environment and the simulated machine, allowing changes in process conditions to predict asset behavior when operational. This helps minimize unplanned downtime and schedule maintenance activities in a planned manner.

For example, a company that manufactures automobiles can create a digital twin of its assembly line. By simulating the assembly process, the company can identify potential bottlenecks and inefficiencies before they occur in the real world.

What does a digital twin provide in a warehouse?

From tracking product location to inventory control, route planning, and scene simulation

    Benefits

The four most important benefits of implementing digital twins in a warehouse are: optimized operational efficiency, reduced costs, improved decision-making, and, finally, improved customer experience.

  • The Magnificent 10

    The Magnificent 10

    The Magnificent 10

MIM Academy, in its ongoing commitment to technical training for its employees, has completed the training program called “The Magnificent 10,” a pioneering program within the company that aims to focus intensive learning on a group of 10 technicians. The program was successfully completed. This achievement, both at the company and individual levels, reflects the importance of individual professional development. This achievement has been accredited by FESTO’s professional trainers in collaboration with MIM Academy.

The technical training was meticulously created using the FESTO training program, designed and adapted to the industrial needs currently faced by the MIM group. The 600-hour training program covered a wide variety of technical aspects, including six levels of electricity, four levels of pneumatics, five levels of hydraulics, and four levels of programming. In addition to technical skills, the training also focused on developing organizational skills, such as effective maintenance techniques, team coordination, and change management, recognized as key elements for success in work environments requiring mid-level positions within the organization.

Participants were selected from various sectors of the company, with different professional categories. Their job analysis was evaluated based on the company’s expectations for each profile. The starting point was the MIM identity and an understanding of the company’s philosophy, based on mutual trust in the need for training to ensure long-lasting job security and enable technical development within the company. Participants shared experiences and knowledge, creating a collaborative environment that enriched the learning experience and created a strong, effective bond between them and the instructors.

MIM Academy affirms its commitment to the development of its employees with two clear learning paths: maintaining a block of periodic training called “recycling” and incorporating high-level specialization groups such as the aforementioned “Magnificent 10.” This not only benefits the company’s assets but also presents a valuable opportunity for the company, which continually invests in the training of its technical staff, achieving more qualified teams for its services that can improve operational efficiency, drive innovation, and confidently face constantly evolving technological changes.

The next step for the company will be to consolidate the training groups as a core asset, providing the necessary value to meet the industrial demand currently required by the sector, while maintaining their loyalty and the company’s identity as a fundamental pillar for all assets in the organization.

  • Innovating from people, the new paradigm for companies

Innovating from people, the new paradigm for companies

The main objective of our products and services is the customer experience. In reality, we propose solutions and execute them by leveraging people’s knowledge. We train people in mindfulness, and they have a schedule to address external requests and focus on their work. If a person experiences a distraction, they must be able to accept it and avoid it. They must have free time to develop their own ideas.

The procedures and functions are meticulous and allow for a balance between the needs of the company, the person, and the market. We expect people to tell us what to do. There are no secrets, the work is clean, and there are no limitations—only the art of engineering.

Quality is what the market is willing to pay, and our products or solutions are a perfect balance between price and benefits. By sharing, we connect with new ideas and find opportunities where we didn’t see them before. Sharing conversations with people beyond our sector or area allows us to discover a magical area, far from what we already know.

There are many surprises behind each person, personal stories and lessons learned that, regardless of the field of work or other characteristics, are capable of inspiring. We must use global languages, create open spaces, without groups, where we win.

  • David Quality 100%

    David Quality 100%

“Be a benchmark for quality. There are people who aren’t used to an environment where excellence is accepted.”

One of our symbols is David 100% Quality, which stems from the professionalism of one of our longtime employees, David Giménez.

Unfortunately, David passed away due to unintended causes, and so a tribute was paid to him by the MIM Group, recognizing his great work in the company. It became one of our identifying symbols, signifying a job well done, professionalism, honesty, and humility, and that’s how we identify ourselves. We still remember what David was like. He was a great person, always focused on work, happy being a professional. We learned a lot from him. We learned what it’s like to be a person, the honesty of hardworking people who expect nothing more than to be happy with their daily work and pass that on to others to push for a better world. We know that. Thanks to that, we landed one of our first major clients, an international retail company. He was one of the first to join our team, and we continue to hold our company values very dearly in our minds. That’s why we wear the symbol on our left arm on our uniform—left for the genius of people who are crazy enough to change things for the better.
