LS2 Helmets – A benchmark in the motorcycle industry that has placed its trust in us.
LS2 Helmets is a motorcycle helmet brand renowned for its excellent value among motorsports enthusiasts. Founded in China in 1990, it currently sells 3 million helmets in more than 45 countries. Last summer, 2022, its new warehouse in Spain opened, covering over 9,000 square meters and with a storage capacity of up to 150,000 items. This new logistics facility located in Terrassa (Barcelona) is the only one in the country and its sales hub throughout Europe.
With an increasingly significant presence in the Spanish market, one of the projects completed in 2022 by the MIM Group engineering firm, MIM Patchworkservice, was for its newly opened headquarters. The automation consists of a telescopic conveyor belt for the entry of goods into the loading dock of the Terrassa logistics facility. This telescopic boom receives packages from inside the truck’s box/container and automatically transports them to the warehouse reception area for storage.
This project also included an arch scanner with overhead reading to collect the barcodes of each package. This software, entirely designed by the MIM Patchworkservice team, allows the company to manage the closing of delivery notes upon receipt of goods and perform unit control by reference automatically and in a manner optimized compared to the original operation. Equipped with other features, this telescopic boom is capable of optimizing LS2 Helmets’ operations, thus facilitating the distribution processes of the brand’s products to the respective storage points. The electrical and mechanical design, as well as the entire assembly and commissioning of the automation, were carried out by MIM.
